As the media fraternity prepares to celebrate the World Press Freedom day, we take stock of the events and challenges that have characterized the Ugandan journalist
From arrests and torture to threats of losing their jobs, a number of gross human rights violations have been committed against the fourth estate.
But amidst these challenges, Information Minister Frank Tumwebaze has said that journalists should be protected by the labour laws just like any other profession.
