Social activist Tiffany Brar talks about her life as a blind person. She talks about how she was treated owing to her disability. She describes how she refused to let the disability define and restrict her and went on to establish the Jyothirgamaya Foundation for the blind. Tiffany Brar is an Indian Community Service worker who has been blind since childhood. She is the founder of the Jyothirgamaya Foundation, a non-profit organization whose stated mission is to help blind people in all spheres of life to gain the skills needed for a successful and smooth existence. She is a social activist and trainer, working to create awareness on disability. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
